RMB acts as sole financial adviser to RCL FOODS on its disposal of Vector Logistics
RCL FOODS Limited announced today the disposal of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Vector Logistics (Pty) Limited, a leading South African temperature-controlled logistics operator, to EMIF II Investment (Pty) Ltd.
EMIF II Investment (Pty) Ltd is a South African investment vehicle, ultimately owned by A.P. Moller Capital – Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II K/S, a Danish infrastructure fund which is managed by A.P. Moller Capital P/S, a Danish private equity fund manager that focuses on infrastructure investments in Africa and select other emerging markets.
During 2021, RCL FOODS resolved to separate its value-added branded businesses from its poultry, and logistics operations in order to better position them for optimal growth as independent entities. In addition, RCL FOODS revised its strategic focus towards unlocking growth in the value-added consumer brands component of its business through sharper strategic focus and active investment.

RCL FOODS’ brands include Ouma, Nola, Yum Yum, Canine Cuisine, Bobtail, Piemans, Sunbake, Mageu Number 1, Selati, and 5 Star amongst others.
RMB acted as sole financial adviser and transaction sponsor to RCL FOODS in relation to the disposal of Vector Logistics. The transaction remains subject to conditions typical to transactions of this nature.
