Murray has a deep driving curiosity for the way things work and a relentless propensity to ask 'Why?'. This led him swiftly through a university degree in Aeronautical Engineering, followed by a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. A voracious hunger for entrepreneurship encouraged him to change gears and move to RMB as a Class Of, where his work included the rolling out of a knowledge management platform, derivative structuring, and enabling strategies to support the engine room of RMB's international businesses.
Murray rolled off the Programme towards the end of 2012 to co-establish a new investment and advisory firm, focusing on early to medium stage ventures and agencies in the tech, media and digital space. These days Murray is also spending a great deal of time growing his other business venture, SA Cardiosynthetics – to develop and commercialise heart valve replacements for the emerging market.
